The main purpose of this organization is to promote the enjoyment of the biological sciences through community service, events and discussions. It is open to anyone who is interested in biological sciences and not limited to Biology majors. The spring 2011 semester was filled with many memorable events. The first of our fundraiser events raffled off a Toshiba laptop computer with a printer. A bowl-a-thon was also held for the Conservation Centre. More than $400.00 was donated to charity and greater than 300 hours of community service were performed. At the end of each semester the Bio Club honours the member who performed the most community service hours. This semester Alicia Davis won this title by performing more than 20 community service hours. The Bio Club and UNCG are lucky to have such a dedicated person among the student body. Hey if you just sent in a request to be apart of the club, come to our next meeting. We meet every other Wednesday at 5pm in room 203 of the Sullivan science building.
Congratulations to Rico the winner of the Toshiba Laptop and Epson Printer
Thank you to everyone for your effort to fundraise for the bio club and charity.
